On August 25, 2020, the verdict of the Ohtyrka District Court of Sumy Oblast dated July 22, 2020, came into legal force. According to the verdict, a resident of Ohtyrka was convicted for the illegal distribution of playlists for smart set-top boxes containing broadcasting programs of TV channels such as Futbol 1, Futbol 2, Futbol 3, Ukraine, NLO.TV, and Indigo TV.
During the court hearing, with the participation of lawyers from Vindex Law Firm, materials of the criminal case registered under Article 176 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of Copyright and Related Rights) were reviewed. The gathered factual evidence was examined, and a verdict was rendered in favor of our client, LLC "TRK Ukraine."
We emphasize the legality of providing television services. Citizens have the right to choose the quality and type of television, and it must comply with Ukrainian legislation.
